Image Description |
This black and white stereograph/ stereoview depicts the North Family from the south, across Curtis Field. Shaker Road runs along the left margin of the photograph with a stone wall running perpendicularly in front of the buildings. The grass in the field is cut short. From left to right one can see: North Family Office, possibly Blacksmith's Shop behind, unidentified building, Brethren's Shop (west) with small addition to the east and possibly a wood shed sticking out from behind, Brethren's Shop (east), Infirmary (behind), Dwelling House with west addition, Wood House (behind), Sisters' Shop, Wash House/Laundry, and a small shed. The photographs are mounted on a blue-green piece of cardboard with "20" penciled in at front and center. "Photographed and Published By / Clough & Kimball, Concord, N.H." is printed on the front of the cardboard and the back has Label 1. |
