Image Description |
This black and white stereograph/ stereoview depicts the Church Family village from the northwest. The photograph is taken from Shaker Road (which is dirt), across the North Barn Field. Maple sapplings with guy-wires are growing against the stone wall in the foreground. There are two men leaning against the stone wall, both wearing hats, jackets, trousers, boots, and white, collared shirts. The Cow Barn is visible at the left with a flat roof, ventilators, and white painted sheathing with dark trim. The buildings from left to right are: the Sheep Barn, the Cow Barn, Tool Shed, Dwelling House (tower in distance), North Shop, Boy's Shop, Brethren's Shop (roof) behind Cart Shed, and School House. The stereographic views are mounted on blue-green cardstock with a "3" penciled on the top and center of the front. Printed on the front is: "Photographed and Published by / Clough & Kimball, Concord, N.H." |
