Image Description |
This black and white negative depicts Lillian Phelps standing next to a Friendship Tree. She wears a cap, headband, glasses, lace collar with a dark dress, and a watch on her left wrist. There is a half-decorated tree in the corner (in front of a boxed corner post). The tree has a star and is decorated with Christmas cards. In front of the tree is a table laden with a cloth, boughs, two candles in holders, a tree-shaped candle and four figurines of choir boys. The 2/2 window has dark lace curtains. On the left wall is a needlepoint of a still life of flowers (lilies) in a vase that was worked by Hazel Smith when she lived at Enfield House in the 1930's. There is a framed photograph of Sisters singing in the Meeting House that is hanging from the picture rail on the other wall. There is a bell-shaped paper decoration hanging in the window with an empty arm chair below. This room is on the south side of Enfield House. |
