This black and white photograph depicts a Sister and girls in the Dwelling House kitchen with the dining room in the background. There are paper chain decorations on the dining room ceiliing. On the cast iron cookstove are a flat iron, metal teapot, large iron bowl, aluminum tea kettle, tin or enamelware coffee pot, and a lid lifter on the lower shelf. A Kitchen Aid mixer purchased in 1926 has an ice cream maker attached to it; a beater and wire whisk attachments are pictured. In the wall cupboard are cream pitchers, salt and pepper shakers and dishes. The young woman on the left wears a striped dress and matching bertha. Sister Evelyn Polsey is kneeling. In the dining room is a porcelain top dining table with matching chairs. |
