Image Description |
This black and white negative depicts the stair hall of the Dwelling House (floor 1) decorated for Christmas. Garlands adorn the stairs on either side and there is an intricate garland/paper bell structure across the ceiling. At the center, along the wall to the Chapel, is a small cupboard with three drawers over a double cupboard. Above this is a banner that reads "PEACE / GOODWILL". There is a framed document pinned up under it and a card leaning against the wall that stands on the back of the cabinet. A fuse box is on the wall at the right next to what seems to be a clock or barometer. |
