Image Description |
This black and white photograph depicts the McCormick-Deering Farmall tractor along Shaker Road, at the Second Family. The side of the tractor contains a plate which reads: "F-30 / McCormick-Deering/Farmall". Towards the front of the tractor is a second plate which reads, "Oil Level". A large circular saw for cutting wood is attached to the front of the tractor. Chains are on the back wheels. The tractor is parked in front of a brick building (probably Sisters' Brick Shop) of 3 1/2 stories with granite lintels at the windows and matching foundation. It has 12/8 windows and a small outbuilding behind with a gable roof, clapboard sheathing, and large sliding barn door at entrance. There is a fence along the side of Shaker Road that is composed of wooden fence posts with wire rails. |
