This black and white stereograph/ stereoview on green card depicts the south side of the Second Family at Canterbury Shaker Village. Printed: "Photographed by H.A. Kimball, Concord, New Hampshire" and "Concord and Miscellaneous Views. Shaker Village, Canterbury". Inscribed on back: "Second Family, HCB" (Henry C. Blinn). Inscribed "19" and "54" on front. On the west side of Shaker Road (left) one can see an unidentified barn-like building with metal gable roof, the brick Brethrens' Brick Shop, a low white gable roofed building with two chimneys, and the matching 4 1/2 story Sisters' Brick Shop. On the east side of the road is Enfield House, a second dwelling house, and a barn building. The North Family can be seen to the north in the distance on the right side of the frame. |
